Hello Deer Park Families and welcome back! We are excited to begin another amazing year at Deer Park. The band program continues to grow, and in order to best support this growth, we will be holding a mandatory band parent meeting on Wednesday, September 10th, from 5:00–5:45 PM in the music room. This is only for parents of students in grades 6-8 who are in band.
During this meeting, we will review the expectations of the band program, discuss ways you can support your student’s success, and provide an opportunity for me to connect with families I haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting.

Deer Park K-5 students will participate in the Fresh Fruits and Vegetables program again this year. They will receive a fresh fruit or vegetable 2 to 3 times a week, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays. These foods will be provided in the afternoon. There is a nutrition fact about the fruit or vegetable for the day. Ask your student what their fresh fruit or vegetable was. today.

We are requiring that any past due account be taken care of before this program may be used. If you have any questions please call the office. You may now view any past due accounts on your students infinite campus portal.
Welcome Back. The first day of school lunch will be on Tuesday September 2, 2025. Your student will need to bring lunch from home for the week August 26 - August 29. Lunch forms are open if you would like to order for the weeks of September 1 - September 12.

We have partnered with SMIC to offer optional family-paid accidental health/dental insurance. The rates are very reasonable. Please see the flyer for more details and how to register. If you have questions on how to enroll, please call the office.
Girls volleyball for grades 5-8 starts up next week! There will be an open gym on Tuesday 8/26 from 3:30pm-5pm for all those interested. See the flyer for the practice times scheduled next week. We will be putting out a full schedule once a few of the games get solidified. Please remember to get your sports physical turned into the office or coach by the first game. For students that still need a sports physical, one of our community members (who is a licensed PAC) is offering them for free on August 23rd at the Badrock Fire Dept. See flyer for more details.
Summer is coming to a close and we're looking forward to a great school year! A few reminders as we approach the first day of school. 1. Please make sure to get any outstanding immunizations handled. Proof will be required on the first day. 2. Check out our class supply lists online. 3. Open house will be Monday, August 25th from 4:30-6pm. Come meet the teachers, see the classrooms and feel free to drop off your school supplies. Can't wait to see you there!
Reminder that students going into 7th grade require a Tdap booster. You can make an appointment for this immunization at the Health Department. Students may not participate in the 2025-2026 school year without the required immunizations or yearly waiver. Call the office with any questions.
