8th grade History Trip is next week. They will leave Deer Park School on Wednesday and return Friday afternoon. Have a wonderful time 8th grade.
8th grade will have their annual hike on Tuesday May 27. Dress in layers, wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring plenty of food and drink. It will be a fun filled day enjoying the great outdoors.
There will be no school on Monday in observation of Memorial Day. Have a wonderful 3 day weekend.
Remember to get your lunch ordered filled out this weekend. This will be the last order for the year.
The end of the year is upon us! Wow... There will be one final billing for the lunch program. It will be for the lunch period April 28 through June 5, 2025. The last week of lunches will be projected, so if there happens to be a day lunch was ordered and your student was gone a credit will be given and will be reflected on next years account. 3rd grade has a field trip today. They will be heading to the Family Fun Center. Have fun 3rd Grade!
Bike to School day will be celebrated at Deer Park on Thursday, May 22nd. The class with the greatest total of riders with helmets will get an ice cream treat. If students are unable to bike the full distance to Deer Park, perhaps drop them off at a friend's house or the Fire Hall to bike the last bit. Adult family members are definitely welcome too. Kdg & First grade students will have an opportunity for bike riding in the parking lot during their midday recess. Please leave a few minutes extra for driving slow on Middle Road Thursday. If you are in need of a bike or if you have one to offer, let us know.
Support our 8th graders! There will be a bake sale this Tuesday and Wednesday to continue to raise funds for the 8th grade history trip. Prices will range from $0.50-$3.00.

Dear Families and Community of Deer Park School–
It is with great sadness that I announce my resignation as Superintendent/Principal of Deer Park School. I have loved my time at Deer Park and will greatly miss the students, staff, and families. This community has been tremendously supportive as I have learned and grown as an administrator. The staff and families have shown such amazing patience and kindness with me, especially when I was just starting out. I have no doubt that whoever becomes the new Superintendent/Principal will be amazing and do great things. As we go through our search, please join us and participate in any public forums or meet and greet activities that may be a part of the interview and selection process. All voices and opinions matter!
The final decision for today's cross country meet will be made at 2:00pm. If weather permits, k-1 students will be dismissed at 2:55!
There will be Cross Country practice tomorrow, Wednesday May 14, right after school until 3:45. This practice will be for K-1st grade with older students welcome to attend and help out.
2nd - 4th grade cross country runners will be dismissed at 3:10 for their race at Cayuse Prairie today!
The last lunch form is now open. This will be for the first week in June, Monday through Thursday. Our last day of school there will be a BBQ put on by our amazing Booster Club.
